santa

yeah,.....update for December - Last weekend we went to have pancakes with Santa - which was too cute - this year my kids both sat on Santa's lap which is a first and each took turns telling him what they wanted.  Emma went first she wanted the Candy cane from Santa!   She said she wanted a doll house, Cerys was brave and also talked to Santa she told him she wanted a Dino with 3 horns on his head that is a carnivore like T-Rex and a reindeer with a star on his head!

Hello everyone...

sorry i have been out of the loop.!  I have been busy - this summer I got on the Walpole Village School Board - I went to the meeting thinking I am just going to go, maybe get on the board.....well I came home not only on the board but one of the co - fundraisers!  So my friend Erinn and I - took on Spooktacula!  We created a new fundraising event for the school.  Erinn used to work for Kids help phone when she lived in Canada - it was a event they did and we thought it would be a good fit for Walpole!   Erinn and I made a great team -Fundraising is busy work, but it all came together!  Oct 27th was Spooktacula - the kids had a event during the day.  The kids got to enjoy face painting, cookie decorating, caramel apple decorating, wand pairing (which I can tell you we made about 300 wands - but getting sticks, them painting them, then covering them with glitter and feathers), hay wagon rides and stories!  It was fun to transform the preschool into a old village.   At night we had Henna tattoos, Tarot card reader, Tombola (which is a British take on a raffle), cake walk, DJ and Costume contest.  It was a great day and night - I wish that all of you lived closer so you could of came.  So not only was I busy every Wednesday night and Sunday morning doing decor working - painting, wands, props ect....Erinn, Jordan, Simon and I decided to make our Halloween costumes - So during the day Erinn and I were Piggy and Elephant from the books by Mo Williams (if you don't know them they are great the kids love them) and at night we were hungry hippos.   We made our hippo Costumes - work but so much fun .  It was great, and thankfully I have a wonderful Simon that let me do all the work I needed to for Spooktacula :) And a big thanks to all the Gascoyne Family for helping me through....esp Shannon for coming and taking care of the kids for 2 days - thanks!

day out.....

So as you know I have made some great friends....with some great kids.   Erinn, Caitlin and I loaded up the 6 kids and went to Montshire Museum for the day.   Its just under a hour from our house...we went on other time early in the spring but this time when we went the water park was open.  It was fun exploring the stuff inside but even more fun just watching the kids having loads of fun playing in the water.  After we went and had lunch at king Arthur Flour....all a great day until Emma stuck a rock up her nose.   Luckily we drove back to Caitlin's house and got the rock out....avoided the hospital yet again with Emma!

Gascoyne Family fun

sorry I have been busy......so I thought I would take a few mins to update you about summer fun.  when Simon works the weekend - small animal practice on sat morning til noon then what ever comes up with Large or Small animals for the rest of the weekend.  So he usually is pretty busy the good thing is he then has Monday off.!   So the last month while he has had Monday off we have got out to do some family stuff.   We went putt putt golfing, which was the first time for both girls!  Then we followed it up with dinner out (which is a special treat)  We went to a Thai restaurant in Keene...it was great - food, staff and kids!

Peacham Pond

So a few weekends ago, The Gascoyne family got out of Walpole....yeah!   Friends of ours Jeff and Lauren from Colorado were visiting Laurens family at the pond in VT.  so we headed up on Sat am for the night.   Not know what to expect, just knowing that Laurens family lived at the pond...we were going to stay in a camper, swim and hang out at what they called a "camp" .  Well I will tell you that really in my MN language is was a beautiful lake, There parents wonderful house up the road from the lake...  Our camper that we stayed in had electricity and AC ( and it was steps away from the water)! I learned that VT speaking....a camp is like a lake house!  So we truly enjoyed our time hanging out on the pond....so much so that I just went up again with the girls to see Lauren and her kids as she is still in VT visiting with the family.  It is great that we got to catch up, have the kids play - her daughter Leah is will be 2 in like 4 months, and her son Bode is almost 4 months.   Something that I miss very much about MN the loons.....I love hearing them, seeing them and being on the lake.  Thanks Lauren and Jeff for great time at the Pond :)
