Peacham Pond

So a few weekends ago, The Gascoyne family got out of Walpole....yeah!   Friends of ours Jeff and Lauren from Colorado were visiting Laurens family at the pond in VT.  so we headed up on Sat am for the night.   Not know what to expect, just knowing that Laurens family lived at the pond...we were going to stay in a camper, swim and hang out at what they called a "camp" .  Well I will tell you that really in my MN language is was a beautiful lake, There parents wonderful house up the road from the lake...  Our camper that we stayed in had electricity and AC ( and it was steps away from the water)! I learned that VT speaking....a camp is like a lake house!  So we truly enjoyed our time hanging out on the pond....so much so that I just went up again with the girls to see Lauren and her kids as she is still in VT visiting with the family.  It is great that we got to catch up, have the kids play - her daughter Leah is will be 2 in like 4 months, and her son Bode is almost 4 months.   Something that I miss very much about MN the loons.....I love hearing them, seeing them and being on the lake.  Thanks Lauren and Jeff for great time at the Pond :)

Garden update...

So I thought I would follow up on our garden....it has been great, I cant wait to have another raised bed next year.  We have been eating our Lettuce, Kale, Swiss Chard, snap peas,  Broccoli and Cauliflower.  We have Bell peppers, Bananas peppers, Cherry tomatoes and Roma Tomatoes almost ready.  Also Carrots, beans and Cucumbers in the making.  Love going to the garden, spending time and harvesting!

Soccer 12

Cerys just finished her 2nd year of Soccer.....last year she was lucky to start what I hope is a love of Soccer.  Last year we were just in America less then a month, Cerys and her Cousin Maya did a week of Soccer.  Here is a reminder of last year!...
This is actually not a photo from last year soccer....but it is one from last summer playing with dad and Emma!
ok the one above is actually Cerys and Maya on the first day last year.....too cute

So this year Soccer was every day for a week, starting July 9th - It was in Keene, NH  it was about 20 mins away and some of her other friends also went.  So it was fun, hanging out with the Walpole moms - watching the kids....Avery, Ian, Perry, Owen and Cerys all in the 3-5 group.
Here are a few photos

swimming lessons!

Well Cerys finished up two weeks of level one swimming lessons at the Walpole pool!  They were great, the first week I was hmmm I wonder how much cerys is really going to get out of this.....she is the one most of the time on the steps of the pool, watching, and if doing something holding onto one of the instructors.  But the 2nd week...amazing...in the water more, doing bunny hops, jumping off the side into the intructor arms, blowing bubbles, kicking on the steps and with the kick board...and finally....going under water!  I am proud of my little 4 yr old!

getting ready to go in the pool

yep....she liked the comfort of the stairs

Chewy Lovie

Just after the girls birthday party we got them a guinea pig.....Cerys named her Chewy Lovie!  She is pretty cute, and the girls have warmed up to her and love holding her, and spending some time outside with her.
